San Francisco Salt Company are dedicated to providing a salt of the earth experience. For their there is no greater joy than being able to help others bring these unique flavors from all over the world into their homes and create new memories with those they love around the dinner table.
The History of San Francisco Salt Company
In 2002, a lifelong dream became a reality. They started small—selling salts at farmers markets and festivals—but as word spread, they quickly found their way to San Francisco’s iconic Pier 39. From the very start they knew they had something special here in San Francisco, a global melting pot of people, flavors, and food. For their there is no greater joy than being able to help others bring these unique flavors from all over the world into their homes and create new memories with those they love around the dinner table.
Being true to their roots they source as many local ingredients as they can – Salt from the Pacific Ocean, garlic from Gilroy, and onions from the Central Valley. For ingredients that are not native to California they searched high and low for the highest quality ingredients they could find across the globe. In 2019 they took another step towards providing the most flavorful salts made from the highest quality ingredients by launching six organic blends all of which can be traced back to the farm from which they came. By 2021 their goal is to be able to bring their supply chain transparency to you so that you too can see exactly where each salt you buy from their comes from.
